Lori Ryerson

I am a Toronto-based contemporary art photographer. In our increasingly noisy world I look to capture the silence. In 2016, I left the corporate world to become a full-time artist. Since then, I have been elected into both the Ontario Society of Artists, and the Society of Canadian Artists.

Along with my presence at the Toronto Artist Project, Saatchi Art's The Other Art Fair, and the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, my work has shown at the Art Gallery of Hamilton, Robert McLaughlin Gallery, Paula White Diamond Gallery, Noodle Gallery. You'll find my work in several Canadian corporate collections, as well as private collections throughout North America.

An artist is not just a small business, we are serial entrepreneurs. Each time we create a new piece of art, it’s like starting a new business. We come up with the concept, we build it from the ground up, we bring it to market. And then we sell it, and start all over again. Every so often, we need an infusion of capital, a show of faith in our artistic goodness. Support local art!
